20/7 - Lake George

Were currently in Lake George; in the last few days we've been on some of the worlds biggest rides! We went to a very famous park called Cedar Point; rated by the golden ticket awards as the worlds best theme parks for 13 years runnin. It contains a mammoth 17 coasters, including the golden tickets 'best coaster in the world', Millenium Force and one of the tallest and fastest coasters, Top Thrill Dragster.

                                                                     Millenium Force

What a great ride! Millenium Force delivered over 2 kilometers of twists and turns. The first drop is amazing! You're over 300 feet in the air and then suddenly plunge towards the ground. It has some big over-banked turns and is also really smooth! Even though it's the best in the world it doesn't loop, but you can definately see why the Golden Ticket Awards liked this coaster!

Maverick was another coaster that we loved! This one featured three inversions and a 95 degree drop! It was quite a long ride too... about 2 minutes in length. There were six trains on the track for this ride, but each train contained only 3 cars. It wasn't very high either, no more than 100 feet. The lines for this were huge, but we broke down while on the stand up coaster, Mantis, so we got skipped straight to the front of the line!

The Raptor was one of mums favourite! It was a bit like the Lethal Weapon, only smoother and bigger, and this coaster seated four accross the track. It flipped you a few times and was great fun to ride! However, the lines were rather large on it, although for a big line it only took about 50 minutes to get through.

The last ride I'll talk about is the Top Thrill Dragster... enough said. This Stratacoaster blasts you up 420 feet (127 meters (metres)) and then brings you back down. It shoots you out at 120 miles per hour... that's a whopping 190 kilometers an hour... (see picture below)

We also went to Niagara Falls. It was amazing!!! We did the Maid of the Mist boat tour into the mist of the falls and we did a tour of the caves behind the falls. You could feel the spray from miles away! We went to the Canadian side... Border protection is intimidating. We had a great night in Canadia and were sad to leave the falls (but more sad to leave Cedar Point)
