11/7 - Cincinnati

                                                                  At Adelaide Airport

Well we made it... Our first flight out to New Zealand was actually quite good! I had some of the nicest mashed potatoes of my life! We were on an Airbus A320, with screens in the back of the seats. We spent about 2 or 3 hours in the Auckland Airport and in that time we had our first brush with fame (as mum calls it... :P) People may remember a Survivour player called 'Coach'; he played two seasons in the last few years.

After we departed Auckland we embarked on the long flight to LA. I couldn't sleep, which was very annoying because I was really tired for Les Miserables later that night. The food was really nice again, and I watched many episodes of 'Arrested Development'. After we got on the gound we got picked up and went to our hotel, which was very nice! It had now been 24 hours with 1 - 2 hours of sleep... time for Les Mis!! We got to the theatre with an abundance of time to spare, so we got a photo infront of this cool fountain!

Les Miserables was fantastic! The guy that played Jean Valjean was from broadway and had done 2,900 performances of Les Mis on Broadway. The other main guy, Javert, was also fantastic and had played his character on Broadway. It was the most amazing show! And we had good seats too!

We finally got some sleep and then up at 6:30 again for two more flights; from LA to Denver to Cincinnati. They were alright, but we were really tired and I couldn't sleep... again! So now were in Cincinnati; we have a 35 minute drive to our first themepark, Kings Island, tomorrow. Should be good! It has some big rides!

  2. Great Blog James - try Stilnox on your next trip - there are some drugs you just have to say "yes" to - but only the legal ones of course....

  3. I didn't sleep at all over to London, just kept myself awake with mindless rom-coms and National Velvet (no comment). Mum says you're going to die from sleep deprivation. Just saying.
Is it very hot over there? Itallian summer is the same as ours and it's been in the mid to high thirties. Lucky you, lining up in the heat amongst kids on summer holidays...
Tell Maddy her pink suitcase is cool :)
